Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 18, 2026
Shlachli ("we", "us") provides a software platform that lets businesses ("Customers") send and receive WhatsApp messages with their own customers ("End Users") through the WhatsApp Business Platform operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Data we collect
- Customer account data – name, business name, email address, and login credentials of people who sign up to Shlachli.
- WhatsApp Business assets – when a Customer connects their WhatsApp Business Account via Meta's Embedded Signup, we receive the WhatsApp Business Account ID, business phone number IDs, message templates, and an access token that allows Shlachli to act on the Customer's behalf.
- Message data – the content, timestamps, delivery status, and media of messages exchanged between a Customer and their End Users through Shlachli, together with End User phone numbers and WhatsApp profile names.
- Technical data – IP address, browser type, and usage logs, used for security and troubleshooting.
2. How we use data
- To send, receive, store, and display messages on behalf of Customers.
- To create and manage message templates and other WhatsApp assets for Customers.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Shlachli service.
- To comply with legal obligations and Meta's platform policies.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use message content for advertising.
3. Meta Platform data
Shlachli uses data received from Meta's APIs only to provide the messaging services described above, in accordance with the Meta Platform Terms and the WhatsApp Business Terms of Service. Access tokens are stored encrypted and are never shared with third parties.
4. Sharing
We share data only with: (a) Meta, as required to deliver messages through WhatsApp; (b) infrastructure providers that host our service under data-processing agreements; and (c) authorities where required by law.
5. Retention
Message data is retained for as long as the Customer's account is active, or as configured by the Customer. When a Customer disconnects their WhatsApp Business Account or deletes their Shlachli account, associated data is deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. End Users whose data is processed by a Customer should contact that Customer directly; we will assist the Customer in fulfilling the request. See our Data Deletion Instructions.
